West Thurrock Marshes

I spent a couple of hours over at West Thurrock Marsh this afternoon with David Darrell-Lambert; a first visit for me with David showing me how to get there.

Good numbers of Dunlin c3000; Black Tailed Godwit c170; Bar Tailed Godwit x3; Redshank c110; Grey Plover x6; Oystercatcher x6; Lapwing c100; Snipe x23; Golden Plover x1

No Jack Snipe today but other birds seen Black Headed Gull; Linet; Great Black Backed Gull, Cormorant, Curlew, Reed Bunting

The Reed Bunting and Bar Tailed Godwit being 2012 year ticks.
